Tasouth Oysters is a locally owned and operated oyster farm nestled in Great Bay, Bruny Island. The natural prestige environment enriches the oyster habitat due to the cool climate, pristine waters, clean beaches and clear remote surrounds.
It is the longest running oyster lease on Bruny Island, consisting of intertidal and sub-tidal growing, allowing great flexibility and control in growing conditions all year round. Pacific Oysters are grown from seed through to sale and are supplied to the local and interstate market.
Our oysters and the growing environment are consistently tested and monitored by the Tasmanian Shellfish Quality Assurance Program, which allows us to confidently supply clean pristine oysters to our customers at all times.
A majority of our oysters go direct to wholesalers who supply the food and restaurant industry in Melbourne. We also supply to support our small seafood businesses locally.
